SettlePou’s Private Business group assists in designing, building, and implementing business models for entities with the business’s accountants and other advisors.  The group’s experience ranges from solo owned companies to large companies with multiple classes of investors.  The group designs the business model with the business’s accountant to (1) minimize tax liabilities, (2) maximize asset protection, and (3) position the company to meet its short and long term business plan.

In conjunction with this planning, the Private Business group assists in addressing shareholder/owner issues, including planning for death, disability, retirement, and forced withdrawal through shareholders agreements and buy sell agreements.  The Private Business group also develops appropriate investor’s agreements, including voting rights agreements, confidentiality agreements, operating agreements and stock purchase agreements.
